What we stand for

The most responsible object is the one that never needs replacing. Here we share our choices, the proof behind them, and the areas where we are still making progress.

Commitments to responsible objects, from the choice of material to the last mile.

  1. Materials, carefully chosen and traced

Our leathers are LWG certified. Our cotton is organic or OEKO-TEX® / GOTS certified wherever possible, our wood is FSC® or PEFC™ certified, and our paper and board come from sustainably managed forests. We continually look for recycled or recyclable materials suited to each project, and keep a close eye on low-impact innovations.

  2. Carefully managed, local production

We source each area of expertise according to the country where it is best practiced, and work with audited partners recognised for sound social and environmental practices. Road or rail transport is favoured whenever timelines allow, with air freight reserved for truly urgent projects. Our packaging is eco-designed to limit unnecessary volume.

  3. An object made to last

A Maison Maëstra object is chosen to last: we favour quality materials and finishes, leather over PU, for example. We guide our clients toward more responsible options and help them weigh aesthetics, quality, budget and environmental impact.

Keeping a rare know-how alive is a commitment in itself.

  1. A heritage preserved

Respecting artisanal know-how means making sure it endures. Every skill passed on keeps alive a tradition that few workshops still master.

  2. Relationships built over time

We champion local partners and choose depth over number, working with workshops that share our values. These relationships develop over many years and grow into genuine trust.

  3. Like-minded partners

Choosing a partner is never just about price. We favour lasting relationships with those who hold themselves to the same rigour over a systematic search for the lowest rate. The same thinking leads us, project after project, to choose committed workshops.

Our pursuit of excellence is never for its own sake. It comes from a simple conviction: doing things well matters, for us and for everyone who places their trust in us.

Work in progress

Our approach is always evolving.

We keep watch on new eco-responsible materials, develop new supply chains, and regularly assess our partners as well as our processes. Every project is an opportunity to improve a little more.

Every project deserves undivided attention. Let’s talk it through, and orchestrate the unforgettable together.
