Maison Maëstra

Bespoke jewellery boxes that reveal as much as they protect.

A ring unveiled, a necklace resting on its tray, a parure awaiting its moment: each bespoke jewellery box stages the encounter between the jewellery and the person who receives it. We design the fittings around each creation and choose every material to set it off.

Ring boxes, necklace and parure cases, bracelet boxes, round boxes and zipped jewellery cases: every bespoke jewellery box begins with the jewellery it is made to hold. Ring rolls, compartments, fitted recesses, trays and suede-like interiors in your Maison’s colours: the fittings are drawn up one by one. In the window, at the moment of giving or on a dressing table, the presentation speaks your Maison’s language.

Each of our creations embodies care for detail and complete mastery of our craft. It is this constant rigour that turns a simple creation into an exceptional promise, kept.

Arrange

After the purchase, a jewellery piece joins a dressing table, a drawer, a daily routine. A jewellery Maison can follow it there with a case conceived for the jewellery worn every day, offered to loyal clients or reserved for one collection. Rolls for stacked rings, places for hoop earrings, a recess for a fine chain: at home, it answers the presentation box first seen in the boutique.

Travel

A wedding abroad, a week of appointments: a jewellery piece travels with whoever wears it. For that moment, the Maison can prepare a soft case matched to the leather-covered box that first presented it in the boutique. The same leather, the same lining shade, the same discreet monogram: from a vitrine to a hotel room, that jewellery piece is presented with the same elegance.

Unveil

A proposal, an anniversary, a high jewellery piece handed over in a private salon: the box decides the instant when light first reaches the stone. For a ring, it may open onto a fitted cushion, a plinth that lifts the band, or a box within the box. For a necklace and its earrings, the bespoke jewellery box choreographs the order in which they appear, dressed in the shades of the Maison.

A jewellery piece is often received at a rare moment: a promise, an anniversary, an achievement. The box is its first witness. We design it from that moment, and from whoever will open it, before thinking about form. Twenty years alongside the finest watchmaking and jewellery Maisons have taught us that a jewellery piece must appear in the right light, without a single superfluous detail. Materials, fittings and mechanisms are chosen for the creation itself. Anything destined to travel finds its place in our travel cases; for watchmaking, our watch boxes share the same rigour. From the first drawing to the approved box, every project follows the approach behind our bespoke work.

The rigour behind a jewellery box

A bespoke jewellery box must hold the jewellery without ever marking it. On the prototype, we check how a ring sits in its cushion, the position of a necklace on its tray, the softness of materials against metal and stones. The opening must be fluid, the closure crisp, the light just right at the moment the jewellery appears. Each run is then inspected one by one, against the standards we have set together. Nothing is left to chance, even in details no one will ever notice.

Craftsmanship and rigour

A jewellery box draws on several disciplines: gainerie, which stretches leather over a rigid structure, the lining of interiors in suede-like fabric or velvet, the stitching of soft cases, the hot-stamping of monograms. Brought together, they make each leather-covered case and each jewellery presentation box part of the same family, from the smallest to the largest. Colours are matched on samples, mechanisms tested, finishes checked one by one, before every run. Interiors can change from one collection to the next without altering the outside. For a jewellery Maison, it means a consistent set of boxes, true to its signature, and unfailing discretion around every creation.

A sustainable vision of the jewellery box

A beautiful jewellery box is kept for a lifetime, and sometimes passed on with the jewellery it holds. We design it in that spirit: solid structures, fine materials chosen with care, finishes that age well. We make what your Maison needs, no more and no less, keeping our impact down without compromising on the smallest detail. Every box is designed to keep its shape and softness, even after years of being opened and closed. A box that lasts extends, in its own way, the value of what it holds.

Every project deserves undivided attention. Let’s talk it through, and orchestrate the unforgettable together.
